A delivery driver turned to drug dealing to support his family, leading to his arrest and a prison sentence after police investigation revealed his activities
Swansea: So, there’s this delivery driver, Jordan Sandu, who got himself into a bit of trouble. He was just trying to make ends meet for his family but ended up dealing cocaine. Crazy, right?
The court heard that Jordan, 24, was struggling financially after losing his job. He thought selling drugs would be an easy way to earn some extra cash. But, as you can guess, it didn’t end well for him.
A judge pointed out that Jordan had a good education and a decent job before he started hanging out with the wrong crowd. He really messed up by getting involved in drugs, and now he’s facing the consequences.
Police caught wind of his activities when they arrested a few guys in October. They found Jordan’s number on their phones, and that led them right to him. They even got CCTV footage of him topping up his phone at a petrol station.
When the cops showed up at his house, they found him loading up his van with parcels. But instead of just packages, they discovered a stash of cocaine, scales, and cash. Talk about a bad day!
Jordan’s lawyer said he was a smart guy who had a good job at a betting shop. But after a fallout with his boss, he turned to delivery work and then to drugs. Now, he’s worried about missing the birth of his second child while in prison.
The judge didn’t hold back, telling Jordan he made a grave mistake. He got 28 months in prison, but he might only serve half of that. It’s a tough lesson learned, but hopefully, he can turn things around when he gets out.
