Colchester: It’s that time again when we remember those we’ve lost in our community. Announcing a loved one’s passing is a tradition that means a lot to many. It’s comforting to know that these notices are shared in our local papers and online, giving families a lasting tribute.

Here are some of the notices from earlier this week.

Death Notices

One notice is for a lovely lady from Chelmsford who passed away peacefully at Crouched Friars, Colchester. She was 88 and leaves behind a loving family. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew’s Church on January 27, 2025.

Another notice is for a 91-year-old woman who passed away at home. Her funeral service is set for January 14 at Chelmsford Crematorium. Family flowers only, but donations can be made to Farleigh Hospice.

Then there’s Ray, who left us unexpectedly at 77. His funeral service will take place on February 7, 2025, at Chelmsford Crematorium. Donations can be made to the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance.
