Swansea: A crown court recently took a moment to remember Huw Evans, the barrister brother of radio presenter and Strictly star Wynne Evans, who sadly passed away. Huw was well-respected in his field, especially known for handling complex fraud cases, including a notable one in the Caribbean.

On Thursday, Swansea Crown Court observed a minute’s silence in his honor, led by the resident judge, Paul Thomas KC. It was a touching tribute to a man who made a significant impact in his profession.

Huw, originally from Carmarthen, was the eldest of three brothers. He was called to the Bar in 1985 and even served in the Royal Navy. After completing his pupillage in Swansea, he began practicing in Cardiff in 1989 and joined 30 Park Place in 2005.

Wynne Evans shared the news of his brother’s passing on Instagram, calling him his “hero and my inspiration.” It’s clear that Huw’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
