Langstone Vale Crematorium supports families affected by miscarriage with a generous donation to Morgan’s Wings charity
Langstone: A local charity that supports families dealing with miscarriage just got a nice boost. Langstone Vale Crematorium stepped up with a donation of £889 to Morgan’s Wings, thanks to their metal recycling program.
This crematorium, part of the Westerleigh Group, recycles metals from cremations with families’ permission. They use the funds to help out charities and community projects.
The donation will really help Morgan’s Wings, a charity started by Jude and Geoff Davies after they lost their child, Morgan, during pregnancy. They’re doing amazing work to support others going through similar heartache.
Aaron Carter, the crematorium manager, shared how Jude and Geoff turned their painful experience into something positive. They’ve created a lifeline for other parents who are struggling, and the crematorium is proud to help them continue this important mission.
Mrs. Davies expressed her gratitude, saying their goal is to ensure no family feels isolated in their grief. They want to honor the lives of babies lost and raise awareness about the impact of miscarriage.
She mentioned that this donation will help them provide memory boxes for grieving families, giving them something special to remember their loss. Plus, it’ll allow them to send hygiene care packages to hospitals, offering a bit of comfort during tough times.
Mrs. Davies added that they’re incredibly thankful for the support from Langstone Vale Crematorium, which helps them ensure that no family feels alone in their journey through loss.
It’s worth noting that the crematorium is one of 41 locations across the UK run by the Westerleigh Group.
