Ofsted’s 2025 inspections in Coventry use new report cards instead of single words. Results include ratings for academies and nurseries.
Schools won’t get “outstanding” or “inadequate” anymore, starting in September. This rating change reflects local school situations and can better help disadvantaged students.
Inspectors still check key things, grading education quality and personal growth. Behavior, attendance, and leadership are also checked, but each area gets one of five new grades.
The grades include “attention needed” and “causing concern.” “Secure,” “strong,” and “exemplary” round out the list. The report also notes if schools protect students well, and more info lives on Ofsted’s web page.
Many schools still have old single-word grades. Some reports say no overall grade exists post-September 2024. These schools received the newer style grades listed and fall between categories.
Here are some Coventry school inspection results from early 2025. Stretton Church of England Academy was checked January 20, as was Kingsbury Academy. Wyken Croft Primary School was checked January 17, Buzy Bee Nursery on January 15, Wishing Well Day Care Nursery on January 9, and Bright Kids Bell Green on January 2.
