West Midlands Police are intensifying efforts to tackle vehicle crime in Coventry, with multiple operations underway across the city
Coventry: The police are really stepping up their game when it comes to vehicle-related crime. They’ve been patrolling all over the city, hitting spots like Tile Hill, Canley, and Eastern Green.
Recently, officers from Radford SNT noticed a Ford Transit on Jubilee Crescent that looked a bit dodgy. Turns out, it had no tax or insurance, so they seized it right away.
They’ve also been doing speed checks on Clifford Bridge Road in Walsgrave. Plus, there’s a PACT meeting coming up at Wyken Community Centre on January 20 from 6 PM to 7 PM, and residents are encouraged to join.
In another incident, police got reports about a suspicious SEAT Altea on Faulconbridge Avenue. They found it was stolen from Tile Hill, so they recovered it without a hitch.
They also snagged a stolen Vauxhall Astra from Skylark Street in Canley. And get this—a shoplifter in Earlsdon was charged just a day after being caught for theft in Coventry.
West Midlands Police shared that they’ve been quite busy at the start of 2025. They spotted that vehicle on Jubilee Crescent linked to crime, and after checking, they found it was unregistered.
They’re not just stopping there; they’re also keeping an eye on speeding along Clifford Bridge Road. And don’t forget about that PACT meeting on January 20—it’s a great chance for locals to get involved.
