Liverpool: So, there was this crazy situation with a flight from Liverpool to Malta. Passengers were stuck on the EasyJet plane for six hours because of snow and ice. Can you imagine? They were all set to take off at 11:45 AM, but it didn’t leave until 6:40 PM!

Matthew Morrison and his partner Claire were really looking forward to their holiday. They had saved up all year for this trip. But when they got to the airport, things went south fast. EasyJet warned everyone about the weather, but nobody was giving them any updates. It was like being in the dark.

Matthew said the captain mentioned the plane was supposed to be de-iced by 1 PM, but that didn’t happen. They just sat there watching other planes take off while they waited. Apparently, there was only one de-icing truck working, which made everything worse.

He felt like they were treated poorly, saying they “lacked basic human rights” while stuck on the plane. It was hot and cramped, and they only got one cup of coffee and a little twirl of service the whole time. Kids were hungry, and everyone was getting anxious.

After five hours, they had to switch crews, which just added to the delay. Matthew was frustrated, saying it ruined their first day of vacation. EasyJet said the weather was to blame and that they wouldn’t be giving out compensation. They did apologize, though, saying safety is their top priority.

The airport also chimed in, saying they weren’t responsible for de-icing and that it was a tough day with all the snow. They opened the runway as soon as they could, but it was a real mess. Just a tough day for everyone involved!
