Merseyside: So, there was this couple just chilling at home in their pyjamas, waiting for their Asda delivery. Suddenly, the police show up and tell them to evacuate because they think they found a bomb!

It all went down on Briardale Road in Birkenhead. The police were searching a house and thought they discovered an unexploded device. They even called in the army’s bomb squad to check it out.

But guess what? It turned out to be a replica, so no real danger at all. The police confirmed that everyone could go back home after a bit of a scare.

The couple said they got the evacuation notice around 10:30 am and were finally told it was safe to return about three hours later. They were just trying to get ready for their grocery delivery when all this happened!

They mentioned how they were just waiting for their Asda order, and then suddenly, they had to leave their house. It must have been quite the surprise! They even walked into town while waiting for the all-clear.

In the end, the police had to search the house after a stop and search led to the discovery of some ammunition. A 63-year-old man was arrested, but thankfully, the couple is safe and sound now.
