Trafford: Customers are really upset with Costco lately. They’ve noticed that the prices at the Trafford Park branch are higher than at other locations.

People are saying it feels like Costco is taking advantage of its prime spot near The Trafford Centre. One regular, Kris Barron, mentioned that he often sees cheaper prices at the Haydock branch, which is about half an hour away.

Kris pointed out that the price difference isn’t just a penny or two; it’s usually around 5 to 6 pence per litre. That’s a big deal when you’re filling up your tank!

He also shared that the wait times at Trafford can be pretty long, sometimes up to 30 minutes, while Haydock is usually a quick stop. It’s frustrating for him since he lives in Urmston and works in St Helens.

He feels that the Trafford branch should be cheaper since they sell more fuel. He’s even dropped comments in the suggestion box, but it seems like they’re not paying attention to local feedback.

Another driver chimed in, saying it’s annoying to see the same company charging different prices just because of the location. As a Costco member, they expect fair pricing across all branches.

When the Manchester Evening News checked prices on January 14, they found a clear difference. Unleaded was 5 pence more at Trafford, and premium diesel had a noticeable gap too.

It’s a real head-scratcher, and many are hoping Costco will listen to their concerns.
