Cork: Hayfield Manor Hotel just won a top award in Irish hospitality. This year marks its 30th anniversary since opening. The hotel is the only 5-Star hotel in Cork city.

Before 1995, the hotel grounds were a bit neglected. The estate was built in the early 1800s for Richard Perrot. The Musgrave family took over in the 1870s and still runs businesses today.

Recently, Hayfield Manor was named the Supreme Winner at the Virgin Media Business Gold Medal Awards in Galway. These awards are the top independent recognition in Irish hospitality.

The Supreme Winner Award is the highest honor in the industry. It goes to a hotel that shows outstanding hospitality and customer service. The judging panel reviews all winners to select the best.

Michael Jacobi, Managing Director of Hayfield Family Collection, expressed excitement about the award. He praised the team for their dedication to providing excellent service and guest experiences.

Hayfield Manor had a successful night, also winning ‘Ireland’s Five Star Hotel’ and Silver for ‘Five Star Hotel Casual Dining Experience’. Their sister property, Great Southern Killarney, won Silver for ‘Ireland’s Hotel Casual Dining Experience’.

This award night capped off a great week for Hayfield Manor. Nathan Sweeney, a Reception Supervisor, was named the 2024/25 Irish Hotels Federation Cork Branch Employee of the Year.
