Police responded to a safety concern at a Dorking car park, leading to a woman’s hospitalization
Dorking: Police were called to a popular spot in Surrey after someone raised a safety concern. They found a woman in a car park on Westhumble Street late Tuesday night.
Paramedics showed up too and took her to the hospital just to be safe. People nearby noticed a lot of police vans around, which made it quite the scene.
A spokesperson from Surrey Police mentioned they got the call around 9:50 PM about the situation. Officers quickly arrived and found the woman in the car park, and she was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
This car park is near the Dorking and Westhumble train station, a favorite spot for walkers heading to Box Hill and the Stepping Stones pub. It’s a lovely area with scenic routes over the River Mole.
On Wednesday, Surrey Police reminded drivers to be careful on the roads due to icy and snowy conditions. The Met Office even issued a yellow weather warning, predicting snow across the county until just before midnight.
