Coatbridge: A carer named Olanrewaju Ezekiel Olaolu has been kicked off the social services register for sending a bunch of sexually charged texts to a vulnerable service user. Can you believe it?

He was working for Invercare Services Limited when he started messaging this person, asking for pictures and making some really inappropriate comments. It’s just shocking how someone in that position could act like that.

The messages went on for months, and it seems he didn’t get the hint when the service user didn’t respond. He kept pushing, asking about personal stuff and even offering to be there for her if she needed someone to talk to. It’s just not right.

The Scottish Social Services Council found that his actions caused a lot of distress and psychological harm. They noted that the service user was already vulnerable and had a trusting personality, making her an easy target for exploitation.

In their report, they pointed out how unprofessional and overfamiliar his messages were. They were clearly sexually motivated, and he didn’t seem to understand how serious that was. It’s a real shame because he had only been in the field for about six months.

Ultimately, the council decided that allowing him to continue working with vulnerable people would be a huge risk. They struck him off the register, which is exactly what should happen in cases like this.
