Claudia Winkleman shares her love for avocados and reveals her royal connection through her sister Sophie Winkleman
London: Claudia Winkleman is back hosting BBC’s game show The Traitors for the third time. She’s 52 and has a knack for making people laugh with her quick wit and unique style.
When she’s not on The Traitors, you might catch her on Strictly Come Dancing, where she’s been co-presenting with Tess Daly since 2010. She also hosts The Piano on Channel 4 and used to be on BBC Radio 2.
But did you know Claudia has a royal sister? She grew up in London, and her parents divorced when she was just three. Her dad, Barry Winkleman, later married children’s author Cindy Black, giving Claudia her half-sister, actress Sophie Winkleman.
If you’re a fan of comedy, you might remember Sophie as Big Suze from Peep Show. She’s married to Lord Frederick Windsor, who’s related to the royal family. They tied the knot at Hampton Court Palace in 2009 and have two kids.
In a chat with Tatler magazine, Sophie mentioned that she and Claudia had “very separate lives” growing up. Claudia lived with their mom, and there’s a nine-year age gap between them.
Now, switching gears a bit, Claudia has a bit of a food obsession. She’s totally into avocados! On a recent podcast, she shared that it’s one of the few fruits she actually enjoys. She joked about not being a fan of fruit in savory dishes and said she’s “mad” for avocados.
According to Healthline, avocados can help lower bad cholesterol and boost good cholesterol. They’re packed with nutrients and healthy fats, making them a great addition to anyone’s diet.
Don’t forget, the next episode of The Traitors airs at 9pm on BBC and BBC iPlayer on Friday, January 3!
