Edinburgh: Claudia Winkleman has spilled some tea about the behind-the-scenes action on BBC’s popular show, The Traitors. Fans are buzzing as the show is set to return on January 1, 2025, with Claudia’s iconic fringe leading the charge.
In a stunning Scottish Highlands castle, 22 strangers will come together to tackle challenges and compete for a hefty cash prize. But here’s the kicker: among them are three traitors, secretly plotting to sabotage their fellow contestants.
At night, these sneaky players will try to eliminate their targets, all while keeping their identities under wraps during the tense daytime discussions, as reported by The Express.
Many fans are curious about how the producers pick the traitors. Claudia, who has a say in this important choice, shared, “I’m not a goddess and I don’t choose them by myself.”
She explained the selection process, saying, “We talk to all of them in that room and then we go into a room there’s 5 of us, 6 of us.”
Claudia described the intense nature of the selection, adding, “It is very stressful. And then you place it all. Everybody, I mean, I’m just the smallest voice in the room, but you, you decide, having had those chats, who it is going to be.”
With some strategy involved, the team wraps up the decision, eager to see how it plays out in the game. Claudia expressed her confidence in the traitors chosen for the third series, saying, “I have faith. And whether I was correct or wrong, we will find out.”
She also mentioned, “They’re always the right three. It could have been a different three, but it was those three and after you’ve spoken to them all that felt like the right three.”
Even though fans are itching to know what’s next, Claudia has kept things under wraps, stating, “I would love to tell you all about series three, but then I will get fired so I can tell you absolutely nothing. What I will tell you is that things are different.”
However, she did tease some exciting changes, adding, “There are some really exciting things that have changed, which keeps everyone on their toes and feeds into the central premise of trust. I can’t wait for everyone to see.”
