A Monet painting is coming to Hull. It will be at the Ferens Art Gallery. This is part of a UK tour. Other galleries will also show it.

The painting is called “The Petit Bras of the Seine.” Monet painted it in 1872. The tour is called Masterpiece Tour 2025-27.

Monet painted a peaceful river scene. It shows a winter day outside Paris. The town was becoming industrial. Monet hinted at it with buildings. They are behind trees. He focused on the river.

The painting is orderly. He used different brushstrokes. It reflects in the water. These are common in his art. The painting rarely leaves London.

The National Gallery owns the painting. They want to share it with everyone. They want people to see it across the UK. It supports art everywhere.

Many people have seen these tours. Over a million visited in ten years. People really want to see them. The gallery hopes more will visit. The tour started in 2014.

It already reached many people. That number is over 400,000. All tours reached almost 1.5 million people.

Four galleries outside London get to show art. They work with the National Gallery. They show major artworks for three years.

The Ferens gallery will work with Flourish. Flourish is for kids. It is for disabled and neurodivergent visitors too. They will help create it.

They will create a sensory space. It will include smell, sound, and touch. They will add works from the Ferens collection.
