Glasgow: A fire broke out in a house on Saturday evening, and it was quite a scene. Three people had to be evacuated, and unfortunately, a cat didn’t make it.

Among those affected was a child, who, along with two others, received treatment from paramedics. You could see thick smoke rising from the house on Fairbairn Path in Bridgeton.

Firefighters were on it quickly, with three engines responding to the call. They battled the flames for over four hours, trying to get everything under control.

A spokesperson from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said they got the alert around 4:45 PM. They sent three fire appliances to tackle the situation.

Sadly, there were three casualties, including that child, who were taken care of by the Scottish Ambulance Service. It’s heartbreaking to hear that one cat died in the fire.

After ensuring everything was safe, the crews wrapped up their work around 8:50 PM. It’s a tough reminder of how quickly things can change.
