Cardiff: A charity is reaching out for volunteers to help families who are feeling lonely. Home-Start Cymru is backing the Good Morning Britain’s 1 Million Minutes campaign this December.

This campaign is all about encouraging folks to donate their time to charities that need help connecting with those who feel isolated. It’s a great way to make a real difference.

Home-Start Cymru focuses on supporting families with young kids during tough times. They send volunteers to spend time with families, helping them tackle loneliness and other challenges.

Last year, they helped more families than ever, but they really need more volunteers to keep up with the demand. Jayne Drummond, the CEO, shared how vital these connections are.

She said that just a little bit of time from volunteers can change lives. It’s all about making sure no one feels alone, especially during the holidays.

A recent survey showed that nearly 1 in 5 parents don’t have meaningful contact with anyone outside their home. That’s a big deal, and it highlights why this campaign is so important.

If you want to help out, check out the Home-Start Cymru website to pledge your time. Every little bit helps!
