Nottingham: So, there was this pretty shocking incident at Wollaton Park. A staff member from an addiction recovery charity got fired after being caught on camera mistreating a stag. It all went down on New Year’s Eve when a photographer snapped some guys messing with the poor animal.

The photos showed one guy yanking on the stag’s antlers while another was just laughing it up. Can you believe that? The photographer, Chris Golightly, said they even slapped the stag before just walking away like it was no big deal.

After the photos made the rounds, the Carpenter’s Arms charity took action. They confirmed they let the staff member go after realizing he was one of the guys in the pictures. They posted a statement on Facebook saying they expect better from their team, both at work and in their personal lives.

They also mentioned they’ve contacted the police to help with the investigation. But as of now, it’s unclear if anyone has been arrested. Nottinghamshire Live is trying to get more info from the police about what’s happening.
