Hull: Some updates are happening with the A63 closures due to the Castle Street project. The work is going well, so they’ve adjusted the schedule a bit.

Now, there will be full closures in both directions between Daltry Street and Roger Milward Way every weeknight for the next two weeks, from 8pm to 6am. They initially planned a westbound closure for January 30, but it’s now going to affect both directions.

Also, the westbound closure that was supposed to start at 11pm on January 21 will kick off at 8pm instead. But don’t worry, they’re delaying another closure further down the A63 to 11pm. This is to help fans leaving the Hull City game against Queens Park Rangers.

So, if you’re heading east from the MKM Stadium, expect some diversions. The closures for the rest of the month are as follows: from January 20 to 24 and January 27 to 31, both will be closed from 8pm to 6am.

And just a heads up, the westbound A63 between North Ferriby and South Cave will also be closed weeknights from 8pm to 6am until January 28, except for that one night when it starts at 11pm.

The Castle Street project is set to wrap up by Spring 2026, following a year-long delay. Meanwhile, the safety barrier and lighting work between South Cave and North Ferriby should be done this Spring.
