Cardiff: So, guess what? The top restaurants in Cardiff are gearing up for a Scotch egg showdown! It’s called the Cardiff Scotch Egg Championship, and it’s happening at Mesen. They’re inviting the public to come and taste the entries and help decide which one reigns supreme.
Some of the restaurants in the mix include Asador 44, Fire & Flank, and Matsudai Ramen. The competition kicks off at 6 PM on January 22, and it’s going to be a blast. You can grab a drink and sample all those delicious Scotch eggs!
Mesen, located in Rhiwbina, shared the news on Instagram, saying Cardiff is home to some amazing chefs. They’ve been pushing culinary limits and winning awards left and right. But this competition? It’s a whole new level of fun!
Rhys Williams, the owner of Mesen, said he wanted to create something that everyone could enjoy. It’s a chance for the chefs to come together and have a good time while showcasing their skills. Plus, it’s a great way to celebrate the Cardiff food scene.
To judge the Scotch eggs, you’ll need to book a spot. Reservations open on January 8, so mark your calendars! Each restaurant will whip up 10 Scotch eggs, and there will be a maximum of 40 guests. It’s going to be a tasty evening!
