An inquest revealed that a Cambridgeshire man died from cardiac arrest following a serious crash on the A605
Cambridgeshire: A tragic incident unfolded when a man named Muhammad Faizan lost his life in a crash. It happened on December 21, 2024, along the A605 near Coates. An inquest kicked off recently to look into the details.
The coroner, Caroline Jones, shared that Muhammad went into cardiac arrest right after the crash. A post-mortem showed he suffered severe blunt force trauma. It seems another vehicle swerved into his lane, leading to the collision.
In a split second, Muhammad tried to dodge the oncoming car, but the other driver swerved back just as he did. This caused a head-on crash, and sadly, he was pronounced dead shortly after 9:10 PM that night.
There was also a passenger in Muhammad’s car who ended up in the hospital with serious injuries. The other driver, 45-year-old Owen Bird from March, only had minor injuries but was arrested at the scene.
Owen has since been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and serious injury by dangerous driving. It’s a heartbreaking situation for everyone involved.
