A car park in Caernarfon might become a storage place. It is near St Helen’s Road and the Welsh Highland Railway.

Watkin Property Ventures wants to change the site’s use. Lock Stock Storage would run the new facility. They are based in Denbigh. Businesses and people could rent storage containers. The company sent an application to Cyngor Gwynedd planners.

Watkin says the project will help local businesses. They say it also helps the community. The facility would offer much-needed storage options. Similar projects boosted small businesses elsewhere. They gave space for expanding businesses. This helps the local economy grow.

Lock Stock focuses on security and being eco-friendly. They also integrate with the community. Watkin believes the project will help Caernarfon prosper. It respects the heritage and landscape. Watkin hopes Gwynedd Council approves the project. They believe it aids Caernarfon’s growth.

The shipping containers come in different sizes. Some are 20ft, and some are 10ft. Lock Stock has 30 sites in North Wales and Cheshire. They have 4,000 containers for people to rent. People moving or storing possessions rent 60% of them. Small businesses rent around 40%.
