Tamworth: So, there was this wild incident on New Year’s Eve. A guy in Kettlebrook decided to break into a place, and when the police showed up, he thought it’d be a great idea to climb onto the roof. Can you believe that?

He just stayed up there, refusing to come down, even as the clock struck midnight. I mean, he literally welcomed the New Year from the rooftop! The police were trying to talk to him, but he wasn’t having any of it.

Eventually, around 1:10 AM on New Year’s Day, they managed to talk him down. Turns out, he was a 33-year-old guy with no fixed address. He got arrested for a bunch of things, including causing a public nuisance and wasting police time. Not the best way to start the year, right?

The police said he even caused some damage to the roof while he was up there. He’s now in custody and is set to appear in court soon. What a way to kick off 2025!
