A couple returning from holiday was followed home and robbed by a gang after landing at Manchester Airport
It all went down when the couple arrived back in Wrexham. They had a chauffeur-driven car, and little did they know, three burglars were tailing them for hours. When they got home, they were busy unloading their stuff when one of them spotted a guy in a dark coat sneaking out of their hallway. By the time they realized what was happening, the thief was already gone.
In court, it came out that the burglars had been watching them closely. They managed to grab a briefcase that had $400, some Thai currency, and important business documents inside. Talk about a nightmare!
The police were quick to act. They traced a hire car that had been following the couple and caught the three men the next day on the M602 in Greater Manchester. They even had CCTV footage of the guys from the day before.
All three men were arrested and admitted to the burglary. They were sentenced to two years in jail and are likely to be deported afterward. The judge noted that they had planned this out, which is just chilling. It’s a reminder to always be aware of your surroundings, especially after a long trip.
