Bristol Airport has reopened following snow disruptions, but delays persist, leaving passengers frustrated and complaining about the ongoing chaos.
Bristol: So, Bristol Airport is back in action after shutting down because of snow. But, oh boy, the chaos is still hanging around. Passengers are really feeling the heat.
They had to stop flights around 9 PM on Saturday because the weather was just too rough. Some flights were sent to other airports like Birmingham and even London Gatwick. Can you believe that?
And it wasn’t just the flights. The Falcon bus service also took a break from 9 PM until about 3:15 AM. Talk about a long wait!
Even though the airport opened again at 11 PM, things are still a bit messy. Flights to places like Amsterdam and Glasgow are running late, and one RyanAir flight to Prague is stuck until almost 1 PM today. Yikes!
Passengers coming in on easyJet from Glasgow are also facing a three-hour delay. Plus, a KLM flight from Amsterdam? Yeah, that one got canceled. Not a great day for travelers.
One passenger shared her experience on X, saying the baggage claim was a total mess. She arrived over an hour ago and still hadn’t seen her bags. People were getting really upset.
She mentioned that easyJet had handed off baggage handling to DHL Express, and there was no one around to help. After waiting 90 minutes, she was still bag-less. That’s just rough for families who are already tired.
Another traveler chimed in about easyJet’s service being “appalling.” She was stuck in the airport after her flight from Paris got canceled, and they weren’t even helping her find a place to stay. Just stranded with kids? That’s a nightmare.
Hopefully, things will smooth out at Bristol Airport soon. For the latest updates, check out their live blog.
