North Yorkshire: A tragic situation unfolded when a man’s body was found in floodwater in a village. The police are now asking for the public’s help to identify him.

This discovery happened near Intake Lane in Beal, close to Eggborough and Knottingley, on January 6. The police are really hoping someone can help them figure out who this man is.

They described him as a white male, likely in his 50s or 60s, with short light brown hair and some stubble. He was wearing brown walking boots, blue jeans, a brown belt, and a colorful hooded jumper.

There’s a chance he also had on a dark green waterproof coat. Authorities think he might have entered the water just a day or two before he was found.

A police spokesperson mentioned that despite their efforts, including working with other police departments, they haven’t been able to identify him. He was found without any ID or personal items.

They’re really hoping someone might recognize the description or have any information that could help. If you have any footage from the area or know someone who might be missing, they want to hear from you.

Anyone with information can reach out to North Yorkshire Police at 101, using the reference number 12250003019. Every little bit helps!
