A body has been found in Plymouth during the search for a missing woman last seen getting into a taxi
Plymouth: It’s a sad situation. Police have found a body while searching for a young woman who went missing after getting into a taxi. Lacey Lake’s phone location was mysteriously turned off shortly after she got in.
Lacey, just 24, was last seen on Friday evening around 6 PM. Her family reported her missing on Monday. The police discovered the body in north Plymouth on Tuesday.
Authorities confirmed that they were called to Linton Close after concerns were raised about her welfare. Sadly, paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
While the death is being treated as unexplained, officials don’t believe it’s suspicious. Lacey’s family has been informed, but formal identification is still pending.
Before she went missing, friends and family were worried because Lacey, a Type 1 diabetic, didn’t have her insulin with her. A Facebook post urged anyone with information to come forward, especially since her phone was still on but the location services were off.
