After a lengthy search, police have found the body of a missing man in a landfill
Chelmsford: It’s been a tough few weeks for everyone involved. After 45 days of searching, they finally found a body at the landfill. It’s heartbreaking news.
The body belongs to Cumali Turhan, who was 46. He was last seen on November 19 at The Globe pub. Essex Police had serious concerns for his safety right from the start.
They’re looking for a man named Ceyhan Dinler, 38, in connection with Cumali’s disappearance. He left the UK on the same day Cumali was last heard from. That’s pretty suspicious, right?
Another guy, Ciprian Ilie, 44, has been charged with helping an offender. He’s pleaded not guilty and is waiting for his trial in September. It’s all a bit messy.
Detective Chief Inspector Louise Metcalfe mentioned how tough this investigation has been. The officers have been working hard, even in bad weather, to find answers.
