Bodelwyddan Castle is set for a major upgrade, adding 37 new guest rooms to enhance visitor experience
Bodelwyddan: So, guess what? Bodelwyddan Castle is getting a facelift! They’re planning to add 37 new guest rooms. How cool is that? Warner Leisure Hotels has put in a request to the Denbighshire County Council for the green light to make it happen.
If all goes well, the old museum part of the castle will be transformed into a hotel. They’re also looking to add some nice guest facilities, like a lift and a new extension for the cabaret venue. Plus, they want to spruce up the Llewellyn building with a two-storey addition and a fancy glazed walkway.
And there’s more! They’re planning to extend the spa building too, making some changes to the doors and windows. A letter backing the project says Warner wants to upgrade the hotel and invest in both refurbishments and new extensions.
The idea is to boost the hotel’s capacity with those 37 new rooms while making the place even better for visitors. They want to keep it competitive and appealing. The letter also mentions that these upgrades will help preserve the castle’s heritage while modernizing the facilities for the future.
Looks like the planning committee will be chatting about this soon. Exciting times ahead for Bodelwyddan Castle!
