Birmingham: In a city buzzing with new homes, some properties just can’t catch a break. These houses have been sitting on the market for ages, waiting for the right buyer to come along.

It’s a bit of a mystery why these homes aren’t selling. Maybe it’s their quirky features, their location, or just plain bad luck. Most of the homes that are struggling are flats in popular apartment blocks around the city.

But it’s not just flats; there are also some terraced houses that just won’t budge. For instance, there are seven properties listed on Rightmove that sellers are having a tough time moving.

One of them is a two-bedroom flat in Park Central, which has been on the market for nearly five years. It’s listed for £295,000 and offers off-road parking and nice views of the city.

Then there’s a one-bedroom flat on Sheepcote Street, priced at £200,000. It’s in a tower with a gym and great views, but it’s been waiting for a buyer since July 2020.

Another one-bedroom flat in the Apex Lofts development has been listed for over three years. It’s got stunning views and is priced at £219,330.

There’s also a one-bedroom flat on Wrentham Street, part of a modern block near the Gay Village, which has been on the market since July 2020 for £185,000.

On the other hand, a five-bedroom terraced house in Sparkhill has been waiting for a buyer since July 2022. It’s spacious and listed for £400,000, but still no takers.

Lastly, a three-bedroom home in Handsworth has been on the market since August 2022 for £290,000. It’s got three reception rooms, but it seems buyers are hard to come by.
