A heart-wrenching tribute has been paid to Leo Ross, a 12-year-old boy tragically stabbed in Birmingham, leaving the community in shock.
He was just walking home from school when the attack occurred near Scribers Lane. The poor kid was rushed to the hospital but sadly didn’t make it.
His school, Christ Church C of E Secondary Academy, is in mourning. The head teacher, Diane Henson, described him as a bright and happy boy with lots of friends.
She mentioned how much he was loved by his friends and how he brought joy to the school community. They’re even opening a book of condolence to support his family during this tough time.
A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the murder, and it’s been revealed he was also involved in an unrelated assault earlier this year.
The police are asking anyone who might have seen anything or has footage from the area to come forward. It’s a terrible situation, and the community is rallying together to support Leo’s family.
Chief Superintendent Richard North expressed how shocking this incident is and how it’s hard for any parent to grasp the pain Leo’s family must be feeling right now.
