Wolverhampton: So, there was a big crash on Bilston Road last night. It’s closed in both directions from Stowheath Lane to Cable Street. Not great for anyone trying to get through.

West Midlands Metro tweeted about it at 3:18 AM, letting folks know that trams wouldn’t be running between Priestfield and Wolverhampton. That’s a bummer for early commuters.

We don’t have all the details yet, like what vehicles were involved or if anyone got hurt. BirminghamLive is reaching out to the police and ambulance services for more info.

Traffic is pretty heavy in the area because of the closure. If you’re a tram passenger, you can use your ticket on the 79 bus or West Midlands Railway trains between Wolverhampton and Birmingham.
