Clifton: The family of Paul Adams, a 74-year-old man, is heartbroken after he passed away following a serious accident. He was hit by a car in Bristol on December 21, 2024, and sadly died in the hospital three days later.
Paul was struck by a red Peugeot at the busy junction of Whiteladies Road and Alma Road. His injuries were severe, and despite the best efforts of the medical team, he didn’t make it.
His family shared that Paul was happily married to his wife, Juliet, for nearly 17 years. He was known for his love of singing and his dedication to various charities. Everyone who knew him will miss him dearly.
In their heartfelt statement, they mentioned that Paul was a lifelong resident of Westbury-on-Trym. Before he retired, he worked for Rolls-Royce and later for Royal Mail.
Paul’s family emphasized how much he loved giving back to the community, especially through Sacred Heart and St Antony’s churches. He was a regular at both places, often lending his voice to the choir.
“He will be sorely missed by his many friends, and especially by Juliet,” they said. The family is currently receiving support from a specially-trained officer as they navigate this difficult time.
Meanwhile, the police are still investigating the crash and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to come forward. If you have any information, please call 101 and reference 5224407651.
