Altrincham: So, on the latest episode of Escape To The Country, Steve Brown was totally caught off guard. He met this couple, Ian and Helen, who were all set to move to the Cumbrian countryside.

They’ve been visiting the Lake District for years and finally decided it was time to settle down there. With their daughter off to university, they wanted a peaceful spot for themselves and their two rescue cats.

They had a budget of £600,000 and were looking for a cozy house or barn with a nice garden and a good view, close to a village. But then, Steve threw them a curveball.

He showed them a mystery property in a different area, and guess what? They fell in love with it! Helen was super excited, saying it opened their eyes to new possibilities.

She mentioned how the location of the mystery house really stole their hearts. Steve couldn’t help but laugh, saying, “Oh wow! I did not see that coming!”

Ian chimed in, saying the house wasn’t perfect, but the area was a gem. They planned to explore it more and chat with locals.

Steve was thrilled to have helped them discover a potential future home. Helen thanked him, saying they now had a new focus for their search.
