A man has been arrested for attempted murder after a nurse was stabbed in A&E at Royal Oldham Hospital, leaving her seriously injured
Oldham: So, there was this really shocking incident at Royal Oldham Hospital. A nurse, who’s in her 50s, got seriously hurt after being stabbed in the A&E department. It all went down late Saturday night, around 11:30 PM, when the police got called to the scene.
Apparently, a guy attacked her with something sharp, but it wasn’t a knife. The poor woman is still in the hospital, and her injuries are said to be life-changing. A 37-year-old man was arrested right there on the spot for attempted murder, and he’s still in custody.
Detective Sergeant Craig Roters mentioned that they’re not looking for anyone else related to this case, which is a relief. He also reassured the community that there’s no ongoing threat to the public. It’s just a really serious situation that’s left the nurse in critical condition.
