Asda has changed its mind and issued a refund after a delivery blunder by Evri left a customer frustrated
Sutton Coldfield: A woman named Kim had a rough time with her first online shopping experience. She ordered a duvet set from Asda for about £25, but things went south when Evri delivered it to the wrong address.
When she got an email saying her parcel had arrived, she was shocked to see a picture of someone else’s house. Evri admitted their mistake, but Asda wasn’t having it and refused to refund her.
Her son, Jamie, who lives in Wolverhampton, said this whole mess has made his mum swear off online shopping for good. He shared how they thought it would be a simple fix, but it turned into a hassle.
They even took a picture of their own door to prove it was delivered to the wrong place. But when they reached out to Asda, they were told that since it was marked as delivered, there was nothing they could do.
After two decades of shopping at Asda, Kim felt really let down. One email from customer support even suggested she check if the delivery location looked familiar. Can you believe that?
Jamie just wants to restore his mum’s faith in online shopping, but he feels like Asda is too big to care. Thankfully, after we reached out to them, Asda finally processed a full refund and apologized for the trouble.
An Asda spokesperson mentioned they’re looking into what went wrong with the delivery and have issued a refund as a goodwill gesture. Evri also apologized, saying they handle millions of parcels and this was an unfortunate mistake.
