Residents at Cranleigh House are alarmed by rising anti-social behaviour following the murder of a former councillor
Birmingham: There’s been a troubling rise in anti-social behaviour at Cranleigh House, the tower block where a former councillor was murdered. Police are stepping in, delivering warning letters to residents to address the situation.
Local officers say the behaviour is really affecting the community. This all comes after Wallis Webb was tragically stabbed in his flat last January. His body was found days later, and a man named Sakander Hussain was convicted of the crime.
It’s a pretty shocking story. Webb was last seen leaving his flat in the early hours, and it seems he picked up Hussain before heading back home. The police have been clear that the recent rise in anti-social behaviour is unacceptable.
They’re working with community partners to tackle these issues. It’s a tough situation for everyone living there, and the police are determined to make things better.
