Caerphilly: So, JB Gill from Strictly Come Dancing just shared that his former partner, Amy Dowden, is super happy he made it to the final. Amy, who’s 34, had to step back from the show after dealing with breast cancer and an injury. But she’s been cheering him on from the sidelines.

Now, JB, who’s 38, has been dancing with Lauren Oakley. They’ve really wowed the judges, even topping the leaderboard in the semi-finals with their paso doble and salsa. At a press conference, JB mentioned how supportive Amy has been, even after she left the competition.

He said Amy was there at the semi-final and was thrilled about their success. She’s been sending messages and checking in on them, which is really sweet. JB also noted that it’s a bit unusual for a former partner to stay so involved, but Amy has been just as important to him as Lauren.

Talking about his new partnership with Lauren, JB admitted he was a bit nervous at first. Fans get really attached to the couples on the show, and he wasn’t sure how the change would go. But he quickly realized Lauren is fantastic and brings out a different side of him.

He described her as a dancer who really feels the music, which he finds inspiring. After leaving the show, Amy made it clear that her injury had nothing to do with her past health issues. She’s been through a lot but is now in a good place health-wise.

This Saturday, JB and Lauren will perform three dances in hopes of impressing the judges and viewers. They’ll be competing against some tough contenders, including comedian Chris McCausland and ‘Love Island’ star Tasha Ghouri. The final airs live at 6pm on BBC One and the BBC iPlayer, so don’t miss it!
