Renato Kaloti, an Albanian drug dealer, faces deportation after being jailed for running a cannabis farm in Scotland.
Dundee: So, there’s this guy named Renato Kaloti. He just got two years in jail for running a cannabis farm in Scotland. He came over from Albania illegally, and now he’s headed back home.
Kaloti paid a whopping £13,000 to some drug gang to smuggle him into the UK. He thought he could make a quick buck from a cannabis farm with 309 plants. But things didn’t go as planned.
The police caught him after a SEPA official noticed some weird power usage at the cottages where he was growing the plants. When the cops showed up, Kaloti just stood there and said, “arrest me, I’m done.” Talk about giving up!
He admitted he came to the UK to work for another Albanian guy, but he didn’t really know what he was doing. He was just following a guide on how to grow cannabis. Not the best plan, right?
Kaloti had already been in trouble before. He was banned from Switzerland for dealing heroin. Now, the sheriff is making it clear that this kind of behavior won’t fly in the UK either. He’s got to serve his time and then head back to Albania.
It’s a wild story, and it just goes to show how risky it can be to get involved in illegal activities. Hopefully, Kaloti learns his lesson this time around.
