Hey, the A34 has a closure due to telecom work happening right now. This closure impacts Liverpool Road in Newcastle, causing rush-hour traffic as drivers find alternative routes.

The northbound A34 is closed from Milehouse Lane to the Brymbo Road turn. Virgin Media needs to do some work there, and this started Tuesday and should end tomorrow by 5 PM, February 6.

There are even more road projects happening nearby in North Staffordshire. Investigation work is ongoing on Cellarhead lights until February 7. Crews are also working on Ash Bank Road in Werrington, near Meigh Road, until February 21.

Edgefields Lane in Stockton Brook is closed for gas work until February 7. City Road also has light refurbishing above the A500, with this project running until April 14. Additionally, Cheddleton Road in Leek has water work scheduled until February 20, close to Sandybrook Lane.

Weston Road in Weston Coyney has temporary lights near Main Street, continuing until 5 PM today, February 5. Longton Road in Trentham has planned water work until February 12. Barnfield Road in Leek is closed near B&M until February 7.

Finally, three roads have water works until February 7: Ashbourne Road, Haywood Street, and Tunstall Road, all in Leek. Tunstall Road is near Brown Lees Road.
