An elderly woman was robbed in Hull while walking, prompting police to seek witnesses and gather information about the incident
Hull: An 87-year-old woman was robbed in broad daylight, and it’s really shocking. She was just walking along Nidderdale when she fell down. Police think someone might have pushed her from behind.
While she was on the ground, a guy on a bike came over to help her. But instead of helping, he allegedly snatched her handbag and took off down the street. Can you believe that?
Two good Samaritans rushed to help her, and the police quickly showed up to search for the thief. Sadly, the woman had to go to the hospital for some serious injuries.
Detective Inspector Jason Gourley from Humberside Police said they’re really concerned about this incident. They’re working hard to find the guy responsible and are looking at CCTV footage and talking to people in the area.
They believe the two people who helped the woman could be important witnesses, so they’re asking them to come forward. If anyone saw anything or has any video footage, they should reach out to the police.
It’s just awful to think something like this could happen in broad daylight. Let’s hope they catch the guy soon!
