Kingston: Early this morning, around 60 firefighters were called to tackle a serious house fire on Southwood Avenue. The London Fire Brigade got the first call at 6:20 AM.

Luckily, three people managed to escape the house before the firefighters arrived. Thankfully, there are no reports of injuries, which is a relief.

When the firefighters got there, they found flames in a two-storey detached house with a loft conversion. The fire was mainly in the loft and the first floor.

It took the crews over an hour and a half to get the fire under control, finally managing to do so by 7:57 AM. The cause of the fire is still a mystery and is currently under investigation.

An LFB spokesperson shared that they mobilized crews from nearby fire stations to help tackle the blaze. It’s great to see everyone working together in such a tough situation.
